“** has been going to Sam's Place for several years. She enjoys every aspect of it, especially doing crafts and selling the items they have all made. She gets great enjoyment in doing this and her confidence has soared when dealing with people. ** enjoys going out for tea and also making tea on a Wednesday evening. The games are particularly good fun especially the prize bingo everyone wants to win a packet of biscuits. ** thoroughly loves going to sessions she loves meeting with her friends and helping out. It is a wonderful place for young people to feel comfortable and in a safe environment.”
“Sam’s Place is a positive learning environment where serious subjects are broached in a relaxing tailored manner that suits each person.”
“It’s somewhere she can socialise with her peer group and take part in age appropriate activities. There is very little provision for this age group in our area. She can’t go out alone and Sam’s Place is somewhere she can go and socialise with friends and make new friends.”
“** gains valuable skills for life, meets friends old and new and really enjoys himself.”
“** She enjoys being with friends and has a sense of independence away from parents. She has fun (whilst being safe).”
“** has become more positive in his outlook which comes from learning new skills and being more confident in himself.”
“** has new friends who she enjoys seeing each week. She has developed her independence.”
“Thank you for providing a safe and fun environment for young people to socialise in. This club was definitely needed.”

"There is a gap for young people, meaning Sam’s Place is essential to aid inclusion, help prevent isolation and enable a fulfilling future. My son has loved getting out into the community, meeting new people and doing something which makes him feel worthwhile."
“It gives my son a safe place to socialise and gives him a reason to leave his bedroom.”
“This is the first activity ** has gone to continuously. ** Usually lasts 3-4 sessions and then doesn’t want to go again. The team are an absolute joy and provide an essential service for those over 14, as there are more clubs/activities for younger children but not for teenagers and adults with disabilities. “
